D&M Canada releases new receivers for the 2011 lineup. The first models to arrive will be the AVR-1611, AVR-1911, and AVR-3311CI. Below is a summary of each model.
AVR-1611 is the entry level product from Denon this year. Standard is the HDMI version 1.4a that can be connected to TVs and other devices that support 3D video. Also this year, this entry level receiver will include HDMI conversion when connected to a display via a single HDMI cable when different types of video signals are being inputed to the AVR-1611. Audio feature include support for HD Audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
AVR-1911 is the step-up to the AVR-1611, also equipped with HDMI 1.4a that supports 3D video. Up in power from the AVR-1611, it gets 90 Watts equal power per channel (75 Watts x 7 with AVR-1611). Another feature is the all-sources-upscaled to 1080p (through HDMI).
AVR-3311 sets the standard to not only with 3D video, but also with 3D audio. This receiver features HD audio formats like the Audyssey DSX for a wide, highly realistic spatial expression at the left and right sides as well as the vertical and horizontal directions at the front, allowing you to experience a truly rich 3D ambience of video and sound. AVR-3311 is also equipped with network functions that let you enjoy a variety of on-line content such as Pandora, Rhapsody, and flicker. For audio purists, this receiver gets all channel pre-outs and dual subwoofer pre-out.

On May 18, 2010 Sony of Canada announces the following "BONUS" promotion for "end users". Any end user that purchases one of the following Sony SXRD Home Theatre Projector (VPL-VW60, VPL-HW15, VPL-HW85, or VPL-VW200) during the promotional period, will be eligible to claim one "BONUS" Projector Lamp for each projector purchased.
Claim forms are available on the website www.sony.ca/projectors
Appropriate infomation is required from the end-user enabling them to claim the Bonus Lamp up to thrity (30) days after closing date of the promotion (promotion ends September 30th, 2010), claims must be post marked no later than October 31st, 2010.
